Preroll is a format delivered by Italiaonline, consisting of just one creativity fully clickable. Target preroll can be profiled in: Purchasing decision-maker/Young/Adult /Man. Preroll campaigns are viewable on any device: desktop, tablet and smartphone. In order to be fully compliant to the latest IAB VAST XML specs it’s mandatory to declare the “skipoffset” attribute of the Linear tag for all skippable ad. Link URL must be sent separately to Italiaonline: do not enter or change it in creativities. Each creativity can have a single URL associated with. Send to Italiaonline a link with a domain (eg: http://adv.italiaonline.it …) or an equivalent click command, not an IP address (e.g. http://123.156.789 …). Link (only dynamic) The URL should not be entered or modified in the creative. Tracking – Click Count Optional: provide a click command that tracks the landing page as indicated by the third-party service used. Tracking – Impression Count Optional: provide a tracking pixel as indicated by the third-party service used. Italiaonline will accept only tracking pixels with HTTPS protocol (all the elements of the redirect creativity must be recalled in safe mode). Additional trackings provided by Reseach Institutes (ex. ComScore, Nielsen, Moat) can be accepted. In this case, we require a notice 10 days before the campaign goes live in order to test and certify the materials and the trackings. Creativity delivered by Italiaonline The tracking must be a URL with HTTPS protocol (all the elements of the redirect creativity must be recalled in safe mode). Creativity delivered by third-party services The tracking must be provided as a tag wrapping in HTTPS the VAST (Wrapper VPAID HTML5)/creativity by the third-party service. The original tag by the third-party service in HTTPS cannot deliver a VPAID but only a VAST.
All the creativities delivered in redirect, tracking pixel included, must be provided in https. Creativities not conforming to https will be not published.
Send creativities by email to traffico@adv.italiaonline.it with reference to Italiaonline Sales Account in copy: at least 3 working days before publication. In the subject of the email, please indicate order ID and description (Ex: LB_012345 – Advertiser Name – Product Name – Month/Year): in absence of order ID, indicate the description (see the creativity policy for details).Target profiling

Redirect
Optional: the Preroll can be delivered both by Italiaonline and third-party services.
TAG: VAST 4.0, VAST Standard 3.0 and VPAID HTML5 (no VPAID Flash). We accept only redirect ULRs with HTTPS protocol (all the elements of the redirect creativity must be recalled in safe mode).
AUDIO: it is managed by the Italiaonline player, so it must not be managed by the creativity.
LENGHT: if the video is longer than 15 seconds, a Skip button must be inserted to skip the Preroll after 15 seconds. This Skip button must be inserted directly in the redirect creativity.
CREATIVITY ROTATION: Upon agreement with an Italiaonline representative, a maximum of 3 creativities (video) can be provided on a rotation basis, associated to a unique tag but only if each of them have the same duration. Multiple creativity tags with different duration will be not accepted.
Skippable Preroll
In case of VPAID Skippable Preroll, the “skipoffset” attribute must be declared in the Linear tag of the OriginalVast not only managed by the VPAID wrapper.Link and tracking
