The Multisize CPC IOL format is a product composed of 11 display formats and 1 Native responsive format.
All redirect creativity, including tracking pixels, must be provided in https. Any NON-https materials will be excluded from delivery.
Send creativity via email to traffic@adv.italiaonline.it with a copy of the Italiaonline Sales Account at least 3 working days before publication. In the subject of the email, indicate the order ID and description (Ex: LB_012345 – Advertiser Name Product Name Month/Year); in the absence of the order ID, indicate the description (see details in the creativity policy).

Formats: Native Responsive and IAB standard display

There is 1 Native Responsive format available that automatically adapts to the size of the available advertising spaces and is particularly suitable for integrated communication in editorial contexts. For the technical specifications, please refer to the paragraph “Native Responsive format specifications” located halfway through the page. This type of format cannot be used in the case of Redirect or tracking with click command.
There are also 11 standard IAB display formats available, of which at least 3 are mandatory. Italiaonline recommends producing all of them or alternatively the minimum set of those that offer the best performance: 300×250, 728×90, 300×600. The technical specifications of these formats are summarized in the table below.
Italiaonline recommends producing all the formats (Native Responsive + Display) but it is also possible to choose just one of the two types (Native Responsive or Display).

Duration and speed animation The animation duration cannot exceed 30 seconds. Animations can be looped, but cannot be longer than 30 seconds. Ads with animated GIFs must be less than 5 fps.

HTML5 Creative Display Format Specifications

File type .ZIP – The .ZIP file must contain the html code for the ad, as well as all of the following file types: .CSS, .JS, .GIF, .PNG, .JPG, .JPEG, .SVG
Maximum weight Please refer to the weights indicated in the table for the individual display formats

BORDERS: Creatives must be clearly delineated from the background.

Native Responsive Format Specifications

Brand Indicate the advertiser’s brand
Short title Max 25 characters including spaces. It is the first line of the ad, it is displayed in the narrow advertising spaces instead of the long title and can be displayed with or without the description
Long title Max 90 characters including spaces. This is the first line of the ad, it appears in place of the short title in larger ads and can be displayed with or without the description
Description Max 90 characters including spaces. Immediately after the title, invite users to take an action. Note: The length of the description will depend on the site it is displayed on. If it is shortened, it will end with an ellipsis
Image format .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG . Text and logos in images are to be avoided, if present they cannot occupy more than 20% of the image. Animated images are NOT allowed
Size image Please provide a horizontal image with an aspect ratio of 1.91:1, larger than 600 x 314. The recommended size is 1200 x 628 pixels. Also provide a vertical image with an aspect ratio of 1:1, larger than 300 x 300. The recommended size is 1200 x 1200.
Maximum image weight 1 MB
Logo Square logo (1:1) 128 x 128 px or larger [recommended size 1200 x 1200 px]. Horizontal logo (4:1) 512 x 128 px or larger [recommended size 1200 x 300 px]. Choose a transparent background. Max size 1 MB. Image format: .jpg, .jpeg, .png

Native Responsive format best practices

Recommended:

Use an evocative image and not strictly of the product, which calls to action
Write complete sentences
Give as much information as possible in a concise form
Use humor or ask questions in order to arouse the public’s interest and capture their attention
Make a promise, propose the solution to a need

To avoid:

No text or logo should appear within the evocative images
No price should appear in the titles
The name of the Brand should not appear in the titles
Do not exceed the recommended number of characters

Redirect (not usable with Native Responsive format)

Third Party Tags

Provide third party tags in iframes or javascript tags, with HTTPS protocol. Research Institutes/fourth party tracking is not allowed, furthermore the tags must not contain calls to external libraries, in particular open source, to protect the advertising ecosystem and IOL properties.

Third Party Creativity

It is possible to modify the creativity on the Third Party side upon request.

Third Party animation duration

The animation of the ads must not exceed 30 seconds. After that they must be completely still. There can then be another 4 minutes of animation, but only if started (via click) by the customer.

Each creativity must be associated with only one URL and only the final URL, redirect URLs are not accepted

 

Link and Tracking

Link

The URL must be provided separately to Italiaonline. Each creative must be associated with only one URL and only the final URL, redirect URLs are not accepted. Send Italiaonline a link with a domain (e.g. http://www.italiaonline.it …).
Furthermore, in the case of creativity with HTML5, the URL must not be inserted or modified in the creative.

Tracking Click Count

To track clicks, it is possible to use third-party tags, following the instructions in the Redirect chapter, or alternatively it is possible to provide clickcommands (tracking URLs) compatible with AdWords.

Tracking Impression Count

Impression tracking is NOT allowed
