Italiaonline, Italy’s largest internet company, announces the launch of the new version of TuttoCittà.it, the map and search service for addresses, routes and businesses that has always accompanied Italians in the discovery of their cities. The tool, completely renewed and upgraded, is now based on the free data of OpenStreetMap, which guarantees greater accuracy, transparency and sustainability, transforming it into an even more precise and smart travel companion.
The TuttoCittà of 2025 represents a real revolution compared to the past, becoming a dynamic and reliable digital ecosystem that evolves together with the cities. The entire platform has been revamped, both in the visual part with a new map layer and in the database on which routes and points of interest are based. Thanks to the collaboration with the OpenStreetMap community, which is actively engaged in the constant updating of data, TuttoCittà.it now offers maps that are always accurate and full of useful information.
The new TuttoCittà.it is characterised by
– Ease of use: intuitive interface, fast and accessible to all
– Accuracy of updates: data constantly verified by the OpenStreetMap community
– Exclusive content: in addition to commercial points of interest, there is information on cultural sites, petrol stations, pharmacies on duty, green areas, car parks and much more
– Digital sustainability: a service based on open data for free and transparent access to information
The numbers confirm the success of the transformation already underway: 50 million sessions in 2024 (+73% year-on-year), with monthly visits rising from 2 to 5 million in less than a year. 64% of visitors return to the platform, showing a high retention rate. With an audience of 3.2 million unique users, TuttoCittà.it ranks fourth among the most used map services in Italy (source: Audiweb).
The new TuttoCittà.it is not only an ally for people on the move, but also a strategic showcase for businesses. Thanks to customised pin points and ad hoc sponsorship projects, businesses can reach customers at the exact moment they are looking for a service or product.
‘This renewal marks a fundamental moment for TuttoCittà.it and for Italiaonline,’ says Roberto Pierri, Chief Directories and Local Marketplaces Officer of Italiaonline. ’We have chosen to rely on OpenStreetMap not only for the quality of the data, but also to espouse a philosophy of sharing and transparency that is in line with our values. We believe that an Italian alternative to the great international map services is not only possible, but necessary to enhance the peculiarities of our territory and the companies that make it great. In the coming months we will introduce further innovations, such as advanced tools for calculating routes, fuel prices, public transport timetables and cycle routes. Our goal is to offer a service that is increasingly complete and in line with the needs of users and companies, while at the same time enhancing the peculiarities of our country.’
